The Golden Hand Bridge, or simply the Golden Bridge, is a mesmerising 150-metre-long pedestrian bridge found in the Ba Na Hills resort, near Da Nang, Vietnam.

It’s been hailed as a remarkable architectural masterpiece thanks to its unique design that’s renowned worldwide.

This one-of-a-kind bridge stands out thanks to its unique design, making it a must-visit spot in this Vietnamese coastal city.

The colossal structure was designed in order to connect the gardens to the cable car station while also providing a picture-perfect overlook that’s become a tourist attraction.

It resembles a golden silk ribbon that’s gracefully supported with two giant, moss-covered hands, with each finger’s diameter measuring about 2 meters.

The Golden Bridge’s unique and creative architecture involves its bridge which loops nearly back around to itself with two giant hands coming up from the sides.

It was designed to resemble stone hands supporting the structure and was constructed of wire mesh and fibreglass and wire mesh.

Owing to its name, The Golden Bridge is equipped with balustrades which are completely covered in gold.

Those lucky enough to walk this awe-inspiring bridge can enjoy the endless landscape that surrounds it, including its majestic forests and mountains.

Even on foggy days when the landscape below is not visible, the scenes on the bridge have been described as even more mystical, giving visitors a sense as if they’ve stepped into a heavenly paradise.

Also known as “Cau Vang”, the bridge is considered to be part of a larger £1.6 billion ($2 billion) project that aims to promote tourism in the area.

Construction of the Golden Hand Bridge began in July 2017 and was officially opened to tourists and inaugurated in June 2018.

The bridge consists of eight spans, with the largest measuring at a whopping 21.2 metres with a bridge deck consisting of 5 centimetres thick wooden planks with gold-plated stainless steel railings.

The Center for Landscape Architecture and Design Research (TA Landscape Architecture), which is part of the University of Architecture in Ho Chi Minh City, designed this bridge, promising visitors walking across a truly extraordinary experience.

One review written on TripAdvisor on the bridge read: “Even better than we’d expected, the views are out of this world and the cable car was absolutely magical, as good as the bridge.”

Another added: “It’s a very beautiful building. I felt like I was flying while on it.”
