A beautiful little spot just minutes from Spain’s “best” beaches sees hardly any tourists. Camposol is a small village on the south coast.

Its name in Spanish means ‘countryside sun’ to describe its rural surroundings and high temperatures. It has numerous shops, bars and restaurants to explore and enjoy as well as a weekly marketplace which sells fresh produce and more.

There is also a golf course, which can be used by the public and has a restaurant overlooking the grounds.

A short walk through the surrounding open land takes you to the thermal spring. An ancient volcanic flow provides a constant stream of water at 50 degrees, which flow into several splash pools and onward via several channels into the local Rambla.

Camposol is only a 15-minute drive to the local beaches of Puerto de Mazarron and Bolnuevo – considered among the best in the country.

Puerto de Mazarron is long and sandy and has a blue flag certification. There is a brand-new Marina where visitors will find an abundance of bars, shops and restaurants.

Bolnuevo is also a 15-minute drive from Camposol. This old fishing village has a golden sandy beach with huge wind-eroded rocks.

Camposol is on the Costa Calida, located in the Murcia region of Spain and one of the most coveted destinations in the country, particularly among British expats.

This region is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, with pristine beaches, lush landscapes, and picturesque views.

Visitors and residents alike can enjoy quiet beaches, an array of world-class golf courses, expansive shopping centers, serene nature walks, and a variety of thrilling water sports.

This region has a micro-climate which features comparatively hot mean annual temperatures (hence its name, “Warm Coast”).

It also has a relative degree of aridity, scoring a semidesert and even desert status in Koppen classification.

Camposol is located just a 30-minute drive to Murcia International Airport and 70 minutes to Alicante airport. There are flights to both from cities across the UK.
