Spain’s tourist city loved by Brits set for major renovation including luxury £3m villas

A new luxury complex of villas is set to hit this popular Spanish holiday destination as homes are set to go on sale for a staggering £3million.

The complex, being constructed by Marein, will comprise of seven detached homes that will be situated just off the beach at Puerto Banus.

According to local media, construction could be underway as early as September as the developers wait for a building license.

“Residents of these homes will be able to enjoy connectivity, sound and installation quality experiences of the highest level, such as the Bang & Olufsen brand experience,” said Rafael Reina, the CEO of Marein.

Other features include heated floors, electric car charging points, Siemens appliances and ample common areas.

Marbella has long been a holiday hotspot for Brits, with thousands flocking there every year to enjoy the beautiful beaches and warm weather.

Puerto Banus, where the new complex will be built, has gained a reputation for attracting the rich and famous over the years, become one of the Costa del Sol’s most loved destinations.

Luxury yachts fill the marina, close to lively beaches lined with upmarket bars and restaurants. Prestigious fashion boutiques are on Calle Ribera, while a bronze rhinoceros statue by Salvador Dali stands on the Cristamar roundabout.

For those hoping to escape the lively crowds, there is also ample opportunity to enjoy some Spanish tapas at quieter bars and restaurants nearby.

Puerto Banus is famous for its beach clubs, with numerous lining the sand just west of the port.

The clubs are home to expensive sunloungers, with cocktails and champagne served on demand. To the west of the port is the more traditional Mistral Beach, a sandy number with a beach shack restaurant called a chiringuito.

And 10 minutes’ drive away is Nagueles Beach – it’s Marbella’s busiest beach and offers windsurfing, jet-skis and pedalos.

There are plenty of villas already in this part of Spain, with owners often renting them out to tourists come peak summer time.
