SUMTER, S.C. (TCD) — Police are seeking information from the public after finding a pregnant mother of two shot dead inside her home this week.
On Monday, May 13 shortly before 7:45 a.m., the Sumter Police Department received a call after family members discovered 25-year-old Keyirra Walker unresponsive at her residence on Carrol Drive. Police believe Walker was killed in the early morning hours by someone she knew.
Sumter County Coroner Robbie Baker told WLTX-TV that Walker was found dead on her bed “from an apparent gunshot wound” and that she had been shot multiple times.
An official autopsy has been set for later this week.
According to WIS-TV, Walker was five months pregnant at the time of her death. Her two children were reportedly not home when it happened.
Prior to her death, Walker had allegedly just completed a pharmacy technician program.
Police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
