A tragic aviation incident rocked Fullerton, California, as a small aircraft is reported to have collided with a warehouse, leading to ‘casualties’. According to sources close to the ongoing situation, the accident happened not far from the local airport.

KMBC coverage indicated that up to 11 individuals were injured in the catastrophe. Emergency responders are presently on-site dealing with the havoc, and images circulating online reveal severe damage with a gaping hole in the roof of what seems to be a commercial storage facility.

While helicopter crews provided live updates, ABC7 Eyewitness News reporter Chris Christi shared on social media: “A small plane has crashed into a commercial warehouse near Fullerton Airport, along Raymer Ave. There are reported casualties, firefighters battling a 4 alarm fire”.

Police released a brief update noting: “Plane crash in the 2300 block of Raymer Ave. The media staging area is the Southeast corner of Raymer Ave and Gilbert St. Unknown casualties. Evacuations are underway in the 2300 block of Raymer. Avoid the area. PD PIO en route.”

It’s understood the event unfolded around 2pm with social media footage showing emergency personnel attending to victims, whilst another video, apparently shot from a different light plane, shows a considerable plume of smoke rising into the sky, reports the Daily Star.
