Japan orders residents to take cover after missile launched by North Korea

The Japanese government has issued an emergency warning for residents in the south to take cover.

All TV channels cut abruptly to the announcement that North Korea had just fired a ballistic missile toward Okinawa and that people there should take shelter in concrete buildings.

South Korea also said Monday that it detected North Korea firing an unidentified projectile toward its southwestern sea. No further details have been released.
