The time of Donald Trump‘s highly-anticipated phone call with Vladimir Putin has been revealed as the pair prepare to discuss peace in Ukraine.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the two leaders would speak between 4pm and 6pm Moscow time for “as long as they deem necessary”, according to a post on Telegram.
Just one day before the presidents’ meeting, a leading Russian TV propagandist warned that British and French troops would face death if they are deployed to Ukraine.
Vladimir Solovyov raged: “You can station them wherever you want. We will kill you all, and we will kill you all just as we killed all of you who came to Kursk [region] and did not have time to run away or surrender. We will kill you all.”
This echoed the sentiment senior Russian security council official Dmitry Medvedev, who predicted World War Three if Sir Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron deploy troops from their proposed “coalition of the willing” in Ukraine.
Solovyov – whose propaganda is choreographed with the Kremlin – ranted that Russians could march across Europe and storm Macron’s capital.
He said: “If necessary, we will enter Paris. We have no experience of entering London, by the way.”
Last night, Mr Trump also claimed “many elements of a Final Agreement have been agreed to, but much remains” to be discussed. He added that he “very much looked forward to” speaking with Putin.
