In her TikTok page @travelswithjace, she captioned the video: “Italy and Greece are great but what about…”
It then cuts to images of turquoise beaches, perfect sunsets and dreamy images of a paradise heaven, declaring that Malta was the top spot for European getaways compared to its more popular neighbours of Italy and Greece.
Malta is a small island country found in the Mediterranean Sea, located between Sicily and North Africa.
The island has been described as being in a picture-perfect postcard thanks to its stunning beaches, charming architecture, crystal-clear waters with a balmy Mediterranean climate to boot.
Malta boasts of abundant sunshine with warm locals happy to welcome you here and mouth-watering Mediterranean cuisine throughout.
Malta even featured in the top ten most searched-for holiday destinations of 2025, indicating its popularity is beginning to increase.
Search data for 2025 and updated with insights from January holiday bookings, revealed that Malta is the fourth most searched-for holidays by Brits with an impressive 17,582 January search volumes.
According to @travelswithjace, Malta is also an ideal spot thanks to the many activities on offer here which she recommends visiting the Blue Lagoon and watching a sunset on Dingli Cliffs.
The TikToker also recommended visiting her top three favourite spots in Malta which include Valetta, Mdina and Rabat.
She added: “I stayed in a hotel in Sliema which was much cheaper than staying in Valetta.
“If you stay in Sliema you can get an Uber to Valetta or pay around £2 to get a gondola straight across the water and directly into Valetta – I know which option sounds more fun!
“The gondolas run until late at night or there is a public transport ferry which runs the same route but doesn’t have the same magic to it.”
English is widely spoken there too, making it convenient for English speakers and offers a great balance of culture, adventure and beach.
