Moog will feature a model of its flight-proven Meteorite small spacecraft bus at the conference. The company’s family of buses is built on 70 years of system, subsystem, and component expertise in avionics, mechanisms, propulsion, fluid controls, and vibration isolation technologies. The spacecraft feature GEO-proven radiation-hardened avionics, flexible software that is payload and mission configurable, and modular and expandable payload power. The robust, all-aluminum structure provides radiation shielding and can support a wide range of orbits and configurations to tackle many types of flight profiles and challenging mission needs.
Moog spacecraft buses serve as the essential platforms for various payloads, such as communication transponders, Space Situational Awareness sensors, and defensive systems. Scalability ensures that the Space Force can deploy these buses for a variety of communication needs, from secure data transmission to real-time situational awareness.
