CHALFONT, Pa. (TCD) — A 50-year-old pizza parlor owner recently pleaded guilty to killing her longtime partner in their home in 2022 and trying to hide the body in a bedroom.

According to an April 8 news release from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, Anna Tolomello pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse in connection with the shooting death of her boyfriend and business partner, 65-year-old Giovanni Gallina. Tolomello is scheduled to be sentenced on June 25.

Tolomello and Gallina reportedly ran Pina’s Pizza together. An investigation was launched after Gallina’s son told authorities he last heard from his father on March 16, 2022, and could not reach him. According to prosecutors, Tolomello never reported the man missing and stated he was out of town.

Officers from the Hilltown Township Police Department responded to the couple’s home on Limekiln Pike, where they found Gallina’s remains with a single gunshot wound to the head. He was reportedly wrapped in a blue tarp inside the master bedroom.

According to the district attorney’s office, Tolomello initially said she shot her partner in self-defense. However, in her guilty plea, Tolomello admitted her killing of Gallina was “unjustified.” She reportedly said she left Gallina’s body inside their home for 13 days, and she got rid of evidence related to his death.

Court documents reviewed by WTXF-TV say Tolomello also hired someone to dig a hole in her driveway, and she said she would fill it back up herself with a shovel.
