Benjamin Netanyhu‘s son shared a video in which an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reservist called for a mutiny against the Prime Minister if he paused Israel‘s assault on Gaza.

The IDF has since confirmed that the reservist in the video is under criminal investigation.

The video was shared by Netanyahu’s son, Yair, on Telegram.

In the video, the soldier says: “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the video is for you.

“We reservist soldiers do not intend to hand the keys over to any Palestinian authority,” the man says in the video, per The Times of Israel. “We do not intend to give the keys to Gaza to any entity — Hamas, Fatah, or any other Arab entity. Reservist soldiers are behind you, and we want to win.”

He then turns his attention to Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.

He said: “Yoav Gallant, you can’t win the war. Quit.”

The soldier also threatened a mutiny whereby 100,000 IDF soldiers would go back to the border and refuse to move.

The man added: “We will show you what a victory is, and we will show you how real Jews win.”

Netanyahu’s staff issued the following statement: “The Prime Minister is consistent in this position; he completely rejects any display of refusal to serve from any side whatsoever and expects all official agencies to deal with it uniformly.”

Yair, 32, is believed to be in Miami, Florida and is described by the Times of Israel as “a prolific right-wing agitator on social media.”

It has previously been alleged that he was influential in his father’s decision to sack a minister.

The video and subsequent controversy come as Israel unleashes devastating attacks on Rafah, northern Gaza, despite international condemnation.

Dozens have been reported dead with women and children among the casualties.

Israel says two Hamas commanders were killed in the strikes.

Hours before the strike, Hamas had fired rockets at Tel-Aviv for the first time in months.

Allies of Israel have been urging Netanyahu not to authorise a strike on Rafah due to the over 1 million people stuck there with nowhere else to go.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees described the situation in Gaza as “hell on earth.”

The International Criminal Court’s prosecutor Karim Khan confirmed last week that the court is seeking arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, and others.
