KISSIMMEE, Fla. (TCD) — Officials recently arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of taking an inappropriate photo of a minor at a store, as well as having additional media on his cellphone and computer devices.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, May 10, a mother contacted deputies and said that on the evening of May 9, an unknown man took an “inappropriate photograph of her daughter as she bent down to tie her shoelace” at a Target. The child was reportedly wearing a skirt when the photo was taken.
In a statement obtained by WESH-TV, Osceola County Sheriff Marco Lopez said surveillance footage showed the suspect “on the video actually walking around, stalking her out.” Lopez continued, “At one point, he gets really close to her, she happens to bend over to tie her shoe, and he puts the camera under her skirt and takes the picture.”
The suspect, later identified as Daniel Mora, went back to the same Target on May 16, prompting asset protection members to contact the sheriff’s office.
Mora reportedly admitted to authorities that he took an inappropriate photo of the child, and he also said he had additional photos and videos on his cell phone and computer devices at his home.
Officials arrested Mora on a charge of voyeurism of a minor. Further charges are forthcoming as the investigation continues.
